Now, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® Bacolod brings our coffee appreciation a step further. The process starts with their stringent selection of the finest Arabica beans. These end as handcrafted hot and cold beverages for us to enjoy in any of their stores worldwide.

However, they don’t just end with coffee. While many locals are used to drinking ready-made iced tea in restaurants and convenience stores, TCFTL is introducing fine imported teas. These natural drinks from different plants and herbs have different tastes and effects on the body. Additionally, they all have different steeping times in order to get optimum flavor.

It is a wonderful experience and we got to try it first-hand during their grand opening here in Bacolod City. The Bacolod bloggers and media were treated to different kinds of teas and baked treats. We brought home some of their teas and I am having my daily dose of unsweetened hot tea. Their gift of a tea timer is just wonderful. Now, my tea tastes just right.

The brand’s story began with Herb Hyman. He was once known as the “grandfather of specialty coffee in the U.S. He brought the concept home and helped turn it into a phenomenon that continues until today. With his team, he elevated coffee drinking from a mere basic commodity to a cultural and artful event.

Furthermore, his passion led The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® to a history of breakthroughs in beverages. They introduced as the Original Ice Blended in1987, even before frozen coffee was a craze.

In the late 1990s, the brand expanded outside Southern California. And today, they are present in over 30 countries all over the world. But even with that huge operations, they still honor relationships with their farmers, people, communities, and their guests.

In the Philippines, their first branch opened in Greenbelt in 2003. By now, they have grown to 149 stores and still counting.
