The Seda Capitol Central Christmas family platter

This meal is designed as a hearty meal for small families of about 3 to 4 persons. But when we tried it last night, our group was composed of five adults and two little children. It was more than enough and we still had some leftovers. So it really depends on how you eat and how hungry you are. As for us, we truly enjoyed it. Servings were ample and everything tasted good–from soup to dessert!

Okay, if there’s anything kinda bitin, it’s the salad. Would appreciate more greens because we consume a lot of salads. We love the bittersweet combination of the arugula, watermelon, and mango dressing.

What’s In It?

The Christmas family platter is a complete meal with flavors that remind us of a Filipino Christmas noche buena. F and B Assistant Manager John Mark Hermano explains that the dishes are a combination of sweet and savory, which depict our love for sweet dishes. Even the drinks are especially designed to complement the festive spirit of this meal.

Here’s the platter combination:

• (4) bowls of Cream of Cauliflower soup
• A big bowl of Steamed Rice
• Watermelon and arugula salad with mango dressing
• A bowl of Potato Casserole
• A whole Chicken Galantina
• 750 grams of Porchetta with liver sauce
• 4 slices of Tres Leches Cake
• 4 glasses of Christmas punch

I have to agree. The set meal is surely reminiscent of my childhood holiday banquets consisting of lechon and sweet dishes like estofado. But this time, you get it so much easier without having to fuss in the kitchen. There are families like us who are just so busy that time in the kitchen is already sometimes a luxury that we can’t afford.
