We rejoice to learn that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has approved the franchise for Negros Electric and Power Corporation (NEPC) to manage and operate the electricity distribution utility in Central Negros. The president’s signature on the Negros Power franchise formally grants the company full authority to rehabilitate and upgrade CENECO’s operations in Bacolod City and the rest of Central Negros.
The 1st Renewable Energy Week of Negros Occidental celebration was opened to the public at the Ayala Malls Capitol Central in Bacolod City and was participated in by different players in energy generation and distribution.
After months of discussion, Congress has now given the go-signal for the NEPC franchise to transform the energy landscape in Central Negros.
To improve the electrical distribution in Central Negros, lawmakers have authored House Bill number 9310 in Congress for the NEPC franchise.
