Join the Philippine Army: Life in the OCS
The Philippine Army Officer Candidate School (PAOCS) is a training institution within the Philippine Army. The school offers an education and training program focused on developing leadership, tactical skills, and military knowledge essential for becoming an Army officer.
It is no joke to become a part of the Army. The training program at PAOCS is rigorous and demanding, designed to prepare cadets for the challenges of military leadership. It includes both academic and physical training, as well as practical exercises that simulate real-world military scenarios.
Through the efforts of the Army Personnel Management Center, the Philippine Army presents “Life in the OCS”. This reality series showcases the journey of seven Army officer applicants and their PAOCS training. Hailing from diverse backgrounds, these seven young and passionate individuals have undergone rigorous training before their oath-taking until they are officially commissioned as Second Lieutenants in the Philippine Army.
The premiere screening was held at the University of Makati Auditorium last September 1, 2024 in Makati City, Philippines.

You don’t need to get into and finish a course at the Philippine Military Academy to become a soldier.
If you are 27 years old and below and a graduate of any college course, you can apply for the Army. Fresh graduates are welcome. It only requires a 1-year training at the PAOCS.
