So many events are happening around us that we require party suppliers. One event need that we often source out is the emcee or host. Now, meet one young but seasoned event host, Sheann Severino.
Why the Need for a Host
When you hold an event, like a conference, birthday party, or wedding, you need a host to pull everything together. While a coordinator works in the background, the host is in the front lines. He or she is the life of the party, so to speak.

When the host is on stage, she is responsible for directing the atmosphere of the event and the mood of the audience. When something happens, the host should also be quick-witted to remedy the situation. They deal with dead air and technical problems. Plus, they should also look good for the public to see.
About Event Host Sheann Severino
Event host Sheann Severino may be young at 25, but she is no stranger to the stage. She has been hosting parties, weddings, and corporate events for eight years now.
Sheann finished her Bachelor of Secondary Education degree Major in English from La Consolacion-College Bacolod. She was a beauty queen as well as a student journalist.
Training in Public Speaking
Sheann’s experience in public speaking was honed in school and actual events. When she was still in school, she also served in church as a worship leader and announcer. Since she helped in the children’s ministry as a Sunday school teacher, she has extensive experience with children. That makes her the perfect host for children’s parties.
Additionally, Sheann had a stint as a broadcaster for 91.9 Love Radio. She has also worked as a marketing communications officer for a hotel chain. This has given her extensive experience in communication and dealing with different people.
Outgoing and bubbly, Sheann has a certain charisma towards grown-ups and children. And having experienced hosting for countless events throughout the years, she has gained confidence and a high level of skill.
Why It’s Good to Hire Sheann
This 25-year old soon-to-be pastor’s wife has first been engaged to public speaking. I personally witnessed her hosting an event for a four-star hotel here in Bacolod City. It was attended by company executives and she was effective in conducting the program according to how the hotel requires.
As a host, Sheann is candid, sweeet, charming, and fun. I immediately knew that she was an experienced host when I saw how she carried the whole program. During our quick chat, I confirmed that she has been a professional event host for more than eight years!
So, I wondered why I don’t see her often on social media. I learned that she does minimal posting of her works but mostly relied on word of mouth recommendations. On our first meeting, I found her warm and accommodating and very hands-on in making sure that the program is smooth. She also takes the initiative to make the event even more meaningful.
For an experienced host like her, the English language comes naturally. She is quick-witted and knows what to say. Moreover, she is attentive to the needs of her clients, dresses well as the occasion requires, and is very friendly. Most important of all, she always arrives ahead of schedule to prepare herself and the program.
Talent Fee
Surprisingly, Sheann doesn’t charge much for her professional hosting fee. She does have a minimum price and the rates differ for the kind of occasion and the length of the event. Everything is negotiable and can be adjusted to fit the client’s budget.
That is because she considers event hosting as a personal ministry. It is something that she is skilled at and that she loves to do. So giving her best is her form of service to others.
