Negros Power Joins BFP’s Pahanocoy Coastal Clean-Up

This Fire Prevention Month, Negros Power has teamed up with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) to hold different activities for the environment. On the first week of March, they joined the Red Zone Awareness Program and a tree-planting activity at the Bacolod Eco-Park in Brgy. Felisa, Bacolod City. This week, they actively participated in the coastal clean-up last Wednesday, March 12, 2025, held at Purok Punta Balhas, Barangay Pahanocoy, Bacolod City.

The BFP x Negros Power Pahanocoy Coastal Clean-Up

This year, BFP is working on the theme, “Sa pag-iwas sa sunog, hindi ka nag-iisa” (In preventing fires, you are not alone). The initiative emphasized how maintaining a clean environment can help avoid fire hazards.

At the Pahanocoy Coastal Clean-up, the event gathered nearly 300 participants from various organizations, including the management and staff of Negros Power.

This marks the third activity that Negros Power has joined in collaboration with the BFP, following the Red Zone Awareness Program in Barangay Banago and a tree-planting initiative in Barangay Felisa.

Masip expressed her gratitude to Negros Power for the company’s continued support to the BFP’s community efforts. “We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Negros Power for their proactive support of our initiatives. This coastal cleanup is a vital step toward preventing potential fires while keeping our community clean.”
