If there is any good news for Negros Power consumers, that would be no brownouts and lower electricity rates. This month brings a welcome decrease in electricity rates, offering much-needed relief, especially to those with tight household budgets. The average cost for residential customers has dropped to Php 11.4766 per kilowatt-hour (kWh), a significant reduction of Php 0.6711 from last month’s rate.
A Negros Power Goal
This positive development is attributed to a combination of factors, including lower generation costs and a decrease in transmission charges.

Lower Generation Costs
The Green Core Geothermal Inc. (GCGI) has implemented a Temporary Baseload Discount of Php 0.15 per kWh for the entire year of 2025.
The Palm Concepcion Power Corp. Emergency Power Supply Agreement (PCPC EPSA) rate has also decreased, falling from Php 6.1635 to Php 6.1368 per kWh, a reduction of Php 0.0267 per kwh.
Prices in the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM) have dropped significantly, resulting in a reduction of Php 0.5142 per kWh.
Lower Transmission Charges
The average transmission charge has decreased due to lower ancillary service costs, resulting in a savings of Php 273.8091 per kW.
FIT-ALL Rate Adjustment
We adjusted the FIT-ALL rate from Php 0.0838 to Php 0.1189, reflecting an increase of Php 0.0351 per kwh, as per ERC Resolution with ERC Case No. 2023-096 RC dated 19 February 2025.
