Last November 2015, Jonathan Petrillo of the Jonathan Joseph Foundation of the USA came all the way over to the Philippines in order to hold their first mission of helps. He chose Brgy. Tangub, Bacolod City as the first recipients of his Food Drive because the community is close to his heart.
Mr. Petrillo made well in the cosmetics industry in America and would like to give back to the rest of the world by sharing goodwill to many. He owns the Cosmetic Skin Solutions company. He established the Jonathan Joseph Foundation this year and their first project is the Food Drive 2015 in Tangub.
At the press conference held at the Sugarland Hotel last November 12, Mr. Petrillo said that the foundation is working with the Dumasis family of Tangub through Christine Dumasis, and they have identified 250 underprivileged families as the recipients of their first-ever missions. Representatives of the 250 families were present during the event to receive their early Christmas gift.
The Food Drive was held at the Tangub gymnasium. Mr. Petrillo gave an encouraging message to the people, who he said were identified as those needing some uplifting in their lives. The beneficiaries were then treated to a hot meal that especially catered for the event. At the end of the program, the families of the beneficiaries each received a bag of groceries that could last them for two weeks.
This is just the first of many programs that Mr. Petrillo is planning to hold here in the Philippines. They intend to have more and bigger outreach events in the future. Thank you for coming to Bacolod, Jonathan Joseph Foundation!
