Nico Nazario or KuyaNic is the mastermind behind Project Lupon. It’s a new media entity for gamers, with focus on event coverage, gaming-related content, and streaming support for both local and international market.

KuyaNic: From Marketer to Caster

“I don’t have a decent streaming background. All I have was a vision on what should be shown and content to produce,” shared KuyaNic when asked about his streaming background.

Unlike other casters, KuyaNic’s story on how he transitioned to becoming a streamer was a purely coincidental. “I wasn’t the one who originally shoutcast for WomboXCombo. But my caster had an emergency and cannot stay with me in the studio just outside Manila,” he narrates. “I started to love the process and was looking forward to what better thing I can showcase the next day” KuyaNic added.

Giving up his regular job was not an easy decision, as he used to worked with one of the pillars of Philippine esports. But KuyaNic’s hunger to improve the industry prevailed and steered his career path. “I am a very passionate and competitive worker. My mindset was, there’s always something better to be done,” he recounted.

Project Lupon Conquers the World

Nimo TV’s gaming community is built on reputation. It’s strong global presence will support Project Lupon’s vision to reach a wider audience. “My vision for Project Lupon is to become stable and be capable of catering to passionate individuals regardless of background. As long as they wants to learn, produce, and excel in the industry (esports), this can help,” he added.

Project Lupon Events

From January 19 to 27, 2019, Project Lupon will cover the Dota 2’s The Chongquing Major event. It is where 16 teams across the globe will compete for a US$1,000,000 cash prize and valuable DPC points for The International 2019.
