University of St. La Salle to Host 1st Multimedia Expo for Students

The University of St. La Salle Information Technology (IT) and Interdisciplinary Studies (IDS) departments will host the 1st Multimedia Expo at the Mini Food Court, North Wing, of SM City Bacolod. The expo will run from September 26 to 27, 2014, a press release from the department said.

The Multimedia Expo is a mock company branding competition that will be participated by IT and IDS students. The entries of the students will serve as their final output in their Multimedia Classes. The two-day event will also serve as a training ground for the students to practically apply what they have learned in their classes.

Supported by USLS College of Engineering and Technology and SM City Bacolod, the Multimedia Expo will also feature the outputs of the students on the second day of the exhibit. Viewing is open to the public.

The branding competition will include company logo development and collaterals designing, booth set-up, and the production of video advertisement. The outputs will then be judged according to a set of criteria.

The chosen works will be recognized and the winners will receive cash prizes, as follows; P5,000 for the first prize, and P3,000 and 2,000 for the runners up.
