Halloween 2014 is nearing and although my family doesn’t usually join in the festivities, many people do. It is the time of the year that kids can wear fancy costumes, whether these are scary or not, and indulge in as much candy as they want (well, it depends upon the parents).
Most of the Halloween events will happen on October 31, 2014, so I guess families will just have to choose what they will join. In our case, since we were invited by Teacher Eena (Dindin’s swimming instructor), we are going to visit the event at The District North Point. My daughter Dindin is excited to wear a costume made of white cloth that I will just tie together, just so she could be Queen Esther. hihi Well, that’s about it. And oh, a crown, too.
Thanks to my friend JoAnn Chan who compiled a Facebook album of all the posters of the Halloween events in Bacolod City, I just copied them with ease in order to publish here. hihi Thanks Pynky! This is so useful and I am promoting this, too.
McDonald’s
This is a long-running event, as registration will start from from October 4 to 24, 2014. The events will start on October 25 to November 2 in different locations. Registration fee is P150 per kid or adult and McDonald’s will provide 1pc Chicken McDo with Rice, 1pc Sunkist, 1pc Jack-o-Lantern bag, and 2 pieces of Classic Happy Meal toys to all registered participants.
SM City Bacolod
For the October 31 event, participants will need to register early at the 2nd Floor of the new north wing admin office. The trick or treat will start at 1:30pm at the main atrium.
Robinsons Place
There’s going to be nothing scary in this party because kids will come in the animal costume. Participants may register at the information counter near Mercury Drugstore. Thankfully, this will be held on October 30.
The District North Point (Ayala)
On October 31, there will be fun and exciting activities for kids in the afternoon. This is in cooperation with the Activity and Play Lounge.
Lopue’s East Centre
In this event, participants are required to come in their scariest costumes. This will be held at 2:00PM on October 31, 2014 at the 3rd Flr, The Porch, Lopue’s East Centre. There will be lots of games, prizes and giveaways. Tickets are available at Lopue’s East Centre (East Book Club & Marketing Office).
Savemore and SM Hypermart
Kids ages 2 to 7 can grab as much candy in one hand and that would be theirs already. So bring your kids in their Halloween costume at any SM Supermarket, Savemore, or SM Hypermarket on October 31, present your receipt of purchase on the same date, and let your kids get as much candy as they can in one hand.
Halloween at the Ruins
The Ruins along the border of Bacolod and Talisay may be a historical place but that also means that it is the perfect place for a spooky set up. There will be a scavenger hunt that promises to give kids 12 years old and below a lot of fun. They have a limit of up to 50 participants only. If you come in a full Halloween costume, the entrance is free. Starts at 3:300pm. If
