Sustainable and Eco-Friendly Landers Superstore Upper East in Bacolod

In the past, we only get to shop at any Landers Superstore when we travel to Cebu or through pasabuy. During the pandemic, we got to order online because they opened their Landers delivery service to select areas in the Visayas. But next year, they will be coming to Bacolod in the grandest fashion! Landers Superstore Upper East will be opening an expansive, unique, sustainable, and eco-friendly store that promises to offer an elevated shopping experience for the people of Bacolod. It is one of the highlights of the multi-billion peso The Upper East township development by Megaworld Corporation in the City of Smiles.

Landers Superstore Upper East: Opening on March 2023

Landers Superstore, the fastest-growing membership shopping store in the country, is expanding its reach in the Visayas region. The new store is located inside Megaworld’s The Upper East township in Bacolod City. This will be the first Landers Superstore in Western Visayas and the second one outside of Luzon. 

The store will occupy a 25,000-square meter or 2.5-hectare property along Upper East Avenue. It will just be across the two latest residential condominium developments, Two Regis and Herald Parksuites, as well as the upcoming BPO office towers. 

This premier membership shopping store will be directly connected to the west wing of the soon-to-rise, three-level Upper East Mall via a 30-meter long Bridgeway. This access will come equipped with a walkalator to allow greater mobility for customers — even with their large grocery carts in tow.

Sustainability and Environmentally-Sound Features

The store will have a host of sustainable features, including high-bay LED lighting fixtures and energy efficient air-conditioning units. Moreover, it will also be equipped with backup emergency power, as well as a rainwater collection system that will allow the collection and harvesting of water for later use. 

Another particular highlight of Landers Upper East will be its expansive parking area, which will be designed to accommodate more than 300 vehicles at a time. Permeable paver blocks will be used for the ground surface of the parking area for better rainwater retention. 

With intention and care, the parking facility will be integrated into an area of the township where centuries-old trees are preserved. For those trees that had to be destroyed because they are already infested with pests, more new trees were planted in their stead.

A Caltex Station

It will also feature its own Caltex Gas Station, where members can enjoy unrivaled exclusive discounts on fuel products. This is an added amenity that is crowd favorite in all Landers stores.

A Partnership of Two Leaders 

Landers continues its long and fruitful partnership with Megaworld to bring this project to life. Targeted  to open by March 2023, the Bacolod branch is the fourth Landers store under Megaworld, after Landers  Alabang West, Landers Arcovia City and Landers Uptown Bonifacio.
