Uratex and the Filipino family
Uratex, the largest brand of comfortable bedroom paraphernalia for better sleep in Southeast Asia, puts emphasis on the family’s moments together.
Like most Filipinos, we cherish the times we share with family members, friends, and loved ones especially during the holiday season. My husband makes it a point that we spend time with friends or other family members at least once a week.
But for the most times, the best memories that we create are made inside the bedroom where the four of us (we and our young kids) bond or catch up with each other before we call it a day. We talk, laugh, listen to a story being read, and then pray before we bid each other say good night.
Family Moments Video
Giving salute to the importance of family traditions, Uratex unveiled a Christmas-themed video to celebrate family memories made inside the bedroom. Celebrating their golden anniversary in 2018, Uratex is the leader in the industry because they know their market very well. They know that the bedroom is the common area of solitude. Meanwhile, the bed is a central and key witness to that celebration.
The video, entitled “Regalo“, is a tribute to all OFW families around the Philippines.
The plot
Regalo starts by showing a young man longing for the love and company of their mother who is supposedly an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW). He has not seen her for the three years because she is working overseas. Each day, the young man remembers and misses his mother, recalling the many fun and memorable moments that he shared with her in his bedroom when he was still a young boy.
And now that Christmas is near, the longing is felt stronger more than ever.
Meanwhile, the young man’s elder brother also does his best to overcome his yearning for their mother by focusing his mind and energy on his job. He silently cares for his brother’s needs, not showing much emotion. He sees to it that his younger brother continues to strive to be the best person that he can be. Though he misses his mother so much, he tries hard to be strong for the sake of his younger brother.
Wonderful Christmas
Their fervent wish was granted on Christmas Day when, as they try to celebrate Christmas, their mother suddenly walked in on them. They were caught by surprise but it was soon replaced with joy. The younger brother’s eyes showed that he was so happy and emotional that his mother is back home with them for Christmas. Finally, they are one as a family.
For the elder brother, emotions took the back seat. The arrival of their mother was the perfect time to make the announcement that he is now ready to take on the responsibility of caring for the family’s needs. The video tells us that he now has a stable job and his boss trusts him. He gives the family the reassurance that they will not separate anymore.
With their mother’s long-awaited homecoming, the family of three now has the opportunity to create new memories together.

Uratex has always been the top choice for my family when it comes to foams. When we bought our bunk bed last Jan of this year, we looked for a Uratex foam talaga because we are after quality. Bonus na ang price since it’s surprisingly affordable. 🙂
This Christmas, I hope Santa will send me Uratex pillows naman para ipartner sa foam. Haha. 😀
True! I wanna try the pillows, too! 😀
I cried a bucket after watching the video. I have always felt sorry for OFWs and their families. Although the mom will finally be staying, this time the brother will have to be the one leaving. May our country one day have more opportunities for Filipinos to earn sufficient and decent income while all the while having the chance to be with their families.
Uratex you made me cry with your video. At least you try to make the Filipinos healthy by producing good products for sleeping. But I have yet to try them out personally. Hahaha…
