Many of us remember our grandmothers fondly because they are very endearing and can spoil us to bits. Most of all, they can whip up a storm in the kitchen guided heirloom recipes that have been passed on through generations. That is exactly what Grandma’s Unli-Wings Bacolod would like to give you—the satisfaction of loving meals like they were prepared by your grandmother.
Awesomeness at Grandma’s Unli-Wings Bacolod
We love our fried chicken. But there are those of us who love fried chicken wings, especially in different flavors. Chicken wings just have a special flavor and texture that are just unique to this part. I prefer it because there’s not much white meat. It’s more sinewy with a lot of skin.
At Grandma’s Unli-Wings Bacolod, we get all the awesomeness of chicken wings and more. We get to enjoy them to our limit! And with many flavors to choose from, too. It’s totally worth it!

Moreover, you get a warm fuzzy feeling dining there. While the interior is mostly industrial, you feel comfortable with their wooden tables as well as the appointments. There is a large wooden frame on one wall that frames a monitor. On the sides are photos of moments with grandmas. This is just so heartwarming and sentimental.
7 Flavors to Choose From
At Grandma’s Unli-Wings Bacolod, there are seven (7) flavors to choose from. These are:
- Garlic Parmesan
- Garlic Parsley – highly recommended for shawarma lovers!
- Honey Soy
- Teriyaki
- Lemon BBQ
- Chili Cheese
- Spicy Buffalo
Since I am a big fan of Shawarma Habibi, I super love their Garlic-Parsley. Hubby likes this, too. But I also like their honey-soy and lemon.
Tip: When you order the wings for take out, ask the staff to pack the sauce separately. That way, you can re-heat the chicken as needed and not ruin the sauce. This is especially true with the Garlic-Parsley flavor. The white garlic sauce gets melted in the microwave oven.
Big Servings: Whole Wings
While other Bacolod restaurants would serve cut-up chicken wings, Grandma’s Unli-Wings Bacolod only has whole wings. And these are pretty big, too.
So for your initial order, I suggest getting their offer of a maximum of four (4) wings of different flavors. Then just add maybe a couple of the flavors that you really like. Actually, my maximum in one sitting is just three, but that’s just me. I think hubby had seven. So it really depends upon your capacity on how many you can finish.
Additional charge: Just remember that for every wing that you cannot consume for the unli-wings order, you pay an additional P30.
Prices
Grandma’s Unli-Wings is only P198 per person. Initial order is one (1) cup of steamed white rice plus four (4) chicken wings. You can add wings and rice as you please as long as you can consume them. Moreover, everyone in your table should order the same so that the management can easily monitor orders.
You can add unli-fries and/or bottomless iced tea with your unli-wings meals for a minimal charge. Children from 4 feet and below get a 50% discount.
If you think this is too much, then have the bucket of wings (choice of 9 or 12) or the value meals. The value meals (at P98) has two wings and a cup of rice.
Finger-Lickin’ Good
I know that this is KFC’s tagline, but Grandma’s Unli-Wings are also finger-lickin’ good! So while they provide plastic gloves, I still prefer to eat with my hands.
The disposable plastic gloves are actually cumbersome and not environment-friendly. Plus, I enjoy eating the wings with my hands – I can eat the meat to the bone. Yum! Strangely, it’s more satisfying and fun, too.
