The Philippines’ leading airline, Cebu Pacific (PSE: CEB), flew its first direct international flight from Cebu to Seoul last July 3, 2022. The Cebu-Seoul flights marked the restart of its international operations outside Manila and the first flight from Cebu since the pandemic. Get Excited as Weekly Direct Cebu-Seoul Flights Resume
Cebu Pacific will be operating Cebu-Seoul twice weekly, every Thursday and Sunday. Flight 5J 128 departs Mactan Cebu International Airport at 12:25PM, and arrives at Incheon International Airport at 6:10PM. Its return flight, 5J 129, is scheduled to leave Seoul at 6:55PM, and will arrive in Cebu at 10:50PM.
“We are delighted to relaunch this flight as we know this signals the restart of easier international travels for our passengers in the Visayas and Mindanao. We look forward to steadily growing our network outside Metro Manila, both domestically and internationally,” said Xander Lao, CEB Chief Commercial Officer.
This direct flight enables passengers from21 other domestic destinations to fly to Seoul, South Korea via Cebu. This extensive list includes Clark, Davao, Dumaguete, Puerto Princesa, and Zamboanga, among others.
To celebrate the resumption of its first Cebu-Seoul flight, Cebu Pacific awarded the first passenger to check-in online with a free roundtrip flight from Cebu to Seoul, valid for one year.
New Normal Travel Requirements to Seoul
Fully vaccinated travelers flying to Seoul need to bring the following, as new normal travel requirements:
- Negative COVID-19 test result taken within 48 hours before departure
- Valid vaccination certificate
- Filled-out foreigner registration card
