Bacollywood 2016 continues to accept participants for the workshops this summer. Three courses are being offered: Children’s Theater, Teen’s Theater, Advanced Methods in Acting, and Advanced Film Production.
Staying true to its mission, the Bacollywood Workshops continues to provide quality and affordable education in field of cinema through the help of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts and Produksyon Tramontina, Inc., as well as the generous professional instructors who are among the best and the brightest in their field yet are willing to share their expertise to the young ones.
This year, the Children’s Theater will again be handled by Minmin Cherniguin-Ang assisted by Mark Raymund Garcia while the Teen’s Acting will be under Jack Triño. The Advanced Film Production will be under the tutelage of three internationally-recognized filmmakers and one American-trained cinematographer, namely Lawrence Fajardo, Gabby Fernandez, Manny Montelibano, and Miguel Cruz.
Acting Scholarships from the College of St. Benilde
A Bacollywood bonus this year are the three slots for full scholarships to the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, for those who are interested to pursue degrees in Bachelor of Arts in Theater Arts Major in Acting. This is open to all high school graduates who would like to pursue a career in acting. Auditions will be held during the Bacollywood workshops.
