About Azatri Souvenirs
The Covid-19 pandemic cannot stop this 25-year-old Bacolod-based company from designing shirts with colorful masks. After all, these are symbols of Bacolod City and the resilience of its people in the face of adversity.
In this regard, AZATRI Souvenirs tapped Vijaya Merchant Solutions, Inc. (VMSI) to set up, operate, and market their online stores. That way, the owners can focus on what they do best — designing and producing high-quality Bacolod souvenir shirts.
Switching to E-Commerce
During the pandemic, the operations of Azatri Souvenirs was halted. Instead, the family busied themselves with natural backyard farming. Thus, The Farmtory was born.
But by employing the services of a Bacolod-based e-commerce enabler, Azatri believes that their business will continue. This way, they can circumvent the safety restrictions related to the pandemic.

The Vijaya team boasts of extensive experience in e-commerce. Their commitment to empowering VisMin brands can help AZATRI take advantage of the online market.
VMSI helped Azatri make the seamless transition to the digital platform for their business. The company no longer had to have an in-house technical team to handle all that.
Homegrown Bacolod Enterprise
AZATRI was founded by two college chums in 1992 with only P100 as startup capital. They produced one hand-painted shirt that was sold to one of the partner’s sister.
This first sale was followed by many others. In one month, the business grew to P5,000. Named Hierographics back then, AZATRI became a legal entity in 1995. This was through the business collaboration of Architecture graduates Arlene Zamora Agusila (AZA) and Teodulfo Ricardo Infante (TRI).
They further sealed their business cooperation with another legal union–marriage.
At the ANP Showroom, the brand has consistently landed the top spot in sales for almost two decades.
The phenomenal rise of AZATRI Souvenirs included Bacolod souvenir shirts, novelties, and fashion accessories. They eventually came out with bags, belts, bracelets, and necklaces. All of their products can be attributed to their fresh take on design and consistency in quality.
Making light out of the pandemic, AZATRI developed a line of Covid University Statement shirts, too. They came up with witty statements such as “AB Political Science Major in Online Trolling”. More of this in the next post.
